Bethesda Gear Haul - June 2020

WHEW it's been a hot minute since I've made a blog post that wasn't Fallout Merch Roundup related, haha. Expect that to change starting... NOW!! 😎 I have my April and May hauls to post and will get those up within the week, with YouTube video reviews to follow as I need to get back into doing YT stuff as well, haha. I've had a lot of setbacks this year, but I'm ready to get back on track!

Here's a quick overview of everything that came in this weekend! I wanted to get photos on Saturday but it was overcast literally all day, so that was a no go. 😅 The tank top actually shipped separately, but both orders arrived on Saturday afternoon. Also, there will be spoilers for the Vault-Tec Stash Box 003!! You've been warned and I'll warn ya again towards the end of this post! Oh, and before we continue I also wanted to add that this post isn't sponsored or anything, everything you see is pictured is purchased by me~ I have receipts so don't fucking try me.
This mug is the absolute cutest, and I swear there isn't enough 💖 PINK 💖 Fallout merch out there, haha. So the mug is a darker pink and the video on Bethesda Gear's YouTube video (seriously, who knew they had a YouTube haha) vs the stock photos but I love it all the same!! It holds 10oz so it's a pretty standard sized mug and it's pretty sturdy too, the handle also feels really solid. I dunno what it is about the Slocum's Joe designs but I just love it, definitely add this to your list if you're looking for a new coffee mug!! As an added bonus, it's dishwasher safe *GASP* I know right!! That's crazy! I will still handwash this out of habit as I do with all novelty drinkware though, haha.
This is part of their monthly tee program, where new design goes up for pre-order for 2 weeks, of course I had to get this one because it's a tank top, funny thing is I bought it hoping to use it as a beach cover up this summer 😅 since I live by the beach, yknow. I do have a patio space so maybe I can just get a lounge chair and set up there in the meantime? lmao
Anyways, this tank top was advertised as having 'orange gel-coated flames' and maybe it's just me but I was expecting there to be a noticeable difference? I feel like it was more noticeable on the stock photos 😅 or I'm just being nit-picky, haha. I love that it's a tank top as I have plenty of crew neck t-shirts as it is, the color is just lovely, and it's comfy as hell! I can always count on the VBotM t-shirts/tops to be comfy 🤗❤ I always love the matching stickers that come with it, and this one measures approximately 4" x 4" so it's a pretty big sticker, but I guess decal is more accurate?? The print quality is excellent, and whatever it's printed on is thick with a glossy finish.
I also took photos of the packaging for anyone curious, in case you're not familiar with the VBotM program, this is from a previous order so that's what it still looks nice 🙈 and I carefully cut it along the bottom seam because I wanted to keep the packaging for some reason?? Please note: if you order any of the VBotM t-shirts by itself, it will ship in the packaging above with a label affixed to the back. Just thought I'd take note of that for anyone planning on collecting or saving the packaging for whatever reason.

Oh man, this is the 3rd faction flag I own? 😂 I was waiting for a restock because I missed it last time, so I made sure to grab it this time around! This measures approximately 3' x 5' (.91m x 1.52m) with 2 grommets on the left side for hanging. It's made of 100% polyester with a really light feel to it, and only has a graphic printed on one side, this was to keep the cost low IIRC. I feel like it's a really nice, deep maroon versus what's shown on the stock photos, but that could also just be a difference in natural versus studio lighting?

I don't know why I always insist on taking photos of packaging but??? I think it's helpful to know 🤷♀️ plus honestly, sometimes it's been the packaging that's sold me on products lmao 😂 the box for this measures approximately 4.5"L x 4.5"W x 8"H (11.43cm x 11.43cm x 20.32cm) if my conversions are correct) and there's a cardboard insert on the bottom to hold Vault Boy in place.
I guess this is listed as a 'figure' so people buy it outside of the holidays...? I don't know. Okay, so why did I buy this then? For the incoming holidays LMAO I picked up a few sets of the $5 S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Vault Boy Christmas ornaments and didn't pick up any tree toppers for some reason. Sooo after Thanksgiving you can expect to some holiday related giveaways with the tree topper and ornament sets!
Here I am using my Funko Pop! Vault Boy to scale, because if you're subbed to me on YouTube you'll know I use this as my scale of reference for literally everything, haha. Seriously, who doesn't have one of these things?! The tree topper measures approximately 8"H (20.32cm), and the opening at the bottom is approximately 1" x 2" (2.54cm x 5.08cm), he's top heavy so if you plan on displaying him in your collection I'd recommend putting a small but sturdy figure in front.
First, here's a few photos of just the packaging with my trusty Vault Boy Funko Pop! for scale just because. 😛 Box 001 was gifted to me at E3 last year thanks to Bethesda Gear, and I skipped Box 002 as I figured it probably had stuff I already owned, but I decided to get this one as the box design was different, haha. I also don't know anyone else who's received theirs in the mail and posted photos, so I'm interested to see what everyone else got!
This box is advertised as having 1 random limited Vault Boy FiGPiN, 3 mystery items - 2 of which are brand new arrivals to the Bethesda Gear store, and is limited to 650 units with a retail value of $65USD for $35USD. For those who want to know the box dimensions, it measures approximately 10.5"L x 9.75"W x 4"H (26.67cm x 24.13cm x 10.16cm).
And this is going to be your final warning if you don't want to get spoiled!!
WELL. They already said it was going to come with a FiGPiN 😝 and I figured the white box was one of the stainless steel bottles, as I've received one before. I had NO idea what the 2 other items were though! 👀
I'll start with the FiGPiN haha. I got Intelligence! I already have a full S.P.E.C.I.A.L. set, so expect this to pop up as a giveaway prize at some point. Here's what was inside the white box, like I said I knew it was going to be a stainless steel water bottle but I had no idea which one! Imagine my surprise when I got something I don't own already!! The color is a really nice, deep purple! I love it!
Okay, I admit when they said 'new' I thought they meant stuff that was recently added to the store, so I was really surprised by this one. At first I thought this was the Pioneer Scouts Cryptids patch set, until I read the back, I was like aww man I already own this. Read the description above the bar code to see what I mean. This is some new, actually NEW merch that hasn't been released yet. WHAT THE FUCK.

Nuka-Cola Classic, Sunset Sarsaparilla, and Vim are 1.75" (4.45cm) in diameter, Nuka-Cola Quantum is 1 5/8"L x 1 1/8"H (4.13cm x 2.86cm). Velcro backed, just like the Cryptids patch set. I knew they had to be planning more patch sets, but I had no idea when they were coming so holy shit!! This is so cool and now I need to figure out which patches on my Pioneer Scout sling bag need to be moved around so I can fit these haha. 😂🤣
Okay, now onto the very last item included in the Stash Box~ 🥁
A set of 3 Nuka-Cola air fresheners! Pretty cool IMHO, not to mention practical! 😄
Nuka Cherry - 5"H x 2.5"W (12.7cm x 6.35cm) - It smells like Cherry Cola!! I love how this one smells and it's my fave out of the trio, but it was also really strong IMHO 💀
Nuka-Cola Quantum - 3" diameter (7.62cm) - It smells like artificial berries, if that makes sense? Like, it really reminds me of an artificial strawberry flavor used for snacks and candies lmao
Nuka-Cola Vending Machine - 4.5"H x 2.5"W (11.43cm x 6.35cm) - It smells like those pine shaped car air fresheners, or at least that's what it reminds me of! I asked Siyegen for his opinion and he said it smells like men's aftershave.
BTW if you plan on opening these all at once to smell test, make sure you put them in ziploc bags or something 🙊 I just threw them back in the box without thinking and had to open it back up to do measurements for this blog post and uh, yeah... I was maybe overwhelmed by air fresheners LMAO 😷
WHEW I FINALLY MADE IT TO THE END 🥴 okay, maybe this is why I haven't done blog posts in a while, haha.
