Artist Alley Haul at Anime LA 2024 (Day 1)

One of the big reasons why I was excited about attending Anime LA, is to check out the Artist Alley! I could (and did haha) spend HOURS there 😂🤣 so here's what I picked up on Day 1, I'm thankful it wasn't crazy packed so I was able to actually chat with almost everyone for a few! I basically made a beeline for mewchao's table because ever since I saw them post this Hollow Knight desk mat on their Stories, I knew it was something my partner would like as he's a big fan of the series! In fact, we first met the artist at a small cards and comics pop-up event in Anaheim last year, these pop-ups are worth checking out as you never know what you might find! I also picked up a Hornet Tamagotchi acrylic shaker, to match the The Knight one my partner picked up at that pop-up event I mentioned 🙌 I also got 3 badge ribbons, how cool!!
This amazing Yoru print by muaxuahien, when I wasn't expecting to find anything Yoru because I'm not really expecting Chainsaw Man Part 2 to pick up until it gets animated (if it ever does LOL), so I was so excited when I spotted this one!! I also picked up a cute capybara acrylic charm as I love capybaras 🥺💖 and yes, of course before I left I proudly showed photos of my cat, because Yoru is her namesake after all! She approves of her new print btw! Also, because the badge ribbon might be hard to read because of the color/angle it says 'I support women's rights! And woman's wrongs!' with chibi drawings of Makima on both sides LMAOOO
The next aisle over I found ANOTHER Yoru print, this time featuring Bucky 🐔❌ by Chromamaa, who also gave me tiny Philippines flag haha. PHILIPPINES RAAAAAAAAA ahem, anyways, how cool is it that I managed to find two Yoru prints?!
I eventually came across asheissketchy's table who had these incredible 90s kitty throwback stickers, if you're a 90s kid and LOVED those sticker vending machines... you know!! And because I got the Artemis and Luna stickers, it came with a freebie mini Diana sticker how cute 🐈💜 I also got a freebie cutie bat sticker and a special badge ribbon for contributing a donation to the Trever Project!
Next up, the Lain (Serial Experiments Lain) print by jessiehannahart initially caught my attention, but then I had to get Mima (Perfect Blue), and then Ranni (Elden Ring) as it was Buy 2 Get 1 free on prints. How could I say no?! 🙈 It turns out she's also a Fallout fan and used to do Fallout cosplay, so of course I gave her some of my Fallout related ribbons!
To end this post, here's this Garfield x Neon Genesis Evangelion bumper sticker by anime_milky I think it speaks for itself LMAO
