Brotherhood of Steel Stash Box by Bethesda Gear

Updated: Jun 21, 2022

The stash boxes from Bethesda Gear keep coming but this time we have a Brotherhood of Steel themed one, Paladin Danse Funko Pop! for scale. I also have a video review up on my YouTube, sometimes video shows off stuff better, sometimes static photos so I have both covered, haha. This is already sold out (I'm not surprised tbh) but I wanted to still go through with reviewing it anyways so in case you see one out in the wild, or if they decide to do more faction based stash boxes in the future you'll have some idea of what to expect. Plus many seem to enjoy the unboxing videos so I'll keep going through whatever I have in my collection!

Before we continue this is 100% purchased by me but that I'm a Gear Ambassador for Bethesda Gear so this post will contain affiliate links and I'll earn a small commission if you follow through with a purchase. Thanks for your support!

First things first, the size difference between this and the Vault-Tec stash box 🌚 here are some super flattering screenshots from my latest video comparing the size difference but if you'd like some actual numbers:

Brotherhood of Steel: 8"L x 5.25"W x 3.75"H

Vault-Tec: 10.5"L x 8.5"W x 4.25"H

SOOO it's a pretty noticeable difference and I'll be honest I was expecting it to be the same size as the Vault-Tec one, I think it's kinda sketch they don't list the dimensions on the product listing for the BoS stash box. 🤷‍♀️

Anyways, this boasts $80 worth of products for only $45 and limited to 500 units only. Just like the other stash boxes they give you 'clues or hints' as to what you're getting, so here's what they dropped for this one:

  • 1 outdoor survival essential

  • 1 pair of wearable accessories

  • 3 items to personalize your things with

  • 1 artwork to decorate your bunk with

Let's start from the top!

1 outdoor survival essential - Canteen (1 Quart capacity)

This is probably my favorite item from the box, though I'm not sure how often I'll actually use it as I'm more likely to keep it in my display case. 😅 It does look really cool though! It has the gear logo on the front and nothing on the back, with a really nice matte finish/texture so it's probably best if you hand wash it so you don't (possibly) ruin the finish.

1 pair of wearable accessories - Dog Tags

Not quite what I had in mind when I think of 'wearable' but these do look pretty cool. I don't think these are metal as they feel a bit plastic-y IMHO, plus I have metal dog tags and they don't feel similar at all. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing but for dog tags I'd expect them to be metal. If I sound nit picky, well I'll go into it toward the end of this blog review lmao 🤷‍♀️

Anyways, this would be really cool for anyone wanting to do any sort of Brotherhood of Steel cosplay as it would make a perfect accessory! One of the dog tags has the gear logo with 'Ad Victoriam' under it, and the other says: Paladin Brotherhood of Steel Est. 2077 Chain That Binds, both have the Fallout text logo on the underside.

3 items to personalize your things with - Patches

Okay this I expected haha, I do like that you're getting 3 matching patches but I am curious why one is velcro backed and the other two are iron-on, why not make them all the same type...? Not that I've ever had any luck with iron-on patches 💀 you're really better off just sewing them on tbh. Measurements wise, here we go:

B&W flag: 3.75"W x 2.5"H (velcro)

Ad Victoriam: 3.5"W x .75"H (iron-on)

Helmet: 2" diameter (iron-on)

1 artwork to decorate your bunk with - 5" x 7" Art Print

You've probably seen these on other merch before, but now it's in mini print form. 😅 I do like the glossy finish but I'll be completely honest I've bought nicer quality prints at Artist Alleys at local cons, this is pretty flimsy and it would have been nice if it were printed on cardstock or something.

Here's to recap everything that came in the stash box~ I'm really not seeing how this is supposed to equal $80 worth of merch, I don't even really see how or why this is even $45 tbh. I'd say it's worth $30 at most. I'm really disappointed that it's such a small box and I don't think I'm alone in expecting it to be the same size (and value!) of the Vault-Tec stash boxes, I guess I should have known when they didn't list the box dimensions on the product listing 🤷‍♀️ I don't know I'm rarely disappointed with Bethesda Gear but this one isn't doing it for me, so I'll probably do a giveaway for it later on, but I'll still continue to buy future stash boxes 🤣 even if it's just to review them!

What do you guys think?! Worth the $45? What other faction themed stash boxes would you like to see? What types of merch would you like to see included?
